Silver Alginate Dressing (Sterile)

Vive Care Silver Alginate Dressing is a sterile wound dressing made from calcium alginate and silver particles that absorbs up to 13 times its weight in moisture while helping to control odor and protect against microbial contamination. The flexible, latex-free pad conforms to the skin around the wound and can be folded for cavity packing or trimmed to fit smaller or hard-to-dress areas such as the elbow, heel, and knee.

Each 4" by 4" dressing is individually wrapped and designed to be changed daily, making it suitable for infected wounds, moderate to high exuding wounds, first and second-degree burns, pressure sores, and diabetic ulcers.

These calcium alginate bandages are suitable for surgical wounds, pressure sores, diabetic ulcers, and traumatic wounds and burns, minimizing the risk of infection or biofilm formation.
• Extra Absorbent Padding: Keeping wounds moist and contamination-free, the wound dressing is made with highly absorbent calcium alginate and silver particles to promote natural healing and control odors. The latex-free dressing pads absorb wound discharge up to 13 times their weight and do not adhere to the wound like traditional gauze for easy, painless removal.
• Flexible and Trimmable: Each silver alginate dressing pad is lightweight and flexible, conforming to the skin surrounding the wound for optimal coverage. The wound dressing pads can be folded for layered protection and cavity packing or trimmed to fit small wounds or those difficult-to-dress areas such as the elbow, heel, and knee.
• Sterile Wound Dressing Patches: Includes 10 calcium alginate dressing pads with silver that measure 4” by 4” to cover many wound and sore sizes. Each versatile dressing pad is individually packaged and should be changed daily to protect the wound from impurities and contamination.

Materials & care

Made from calcium alginate (99.2266%), silver particles (0.0034%), and a silicone coupling agent (0.77%). Latex-free. Each dressing is individually wrapped and sterile until opened.

How to use

Apply the sterile dressing directly to the wound and change it daily. The pad can be folded for cavity packing or trimmed to fit smaller wounds and difficult-to-dress areas such as the elbow, heel, and knee.
