The Drive Medical AeroFly Ultra-Lite Transport Chair is built on an ultralight magnesium alloy frame that weighs just 13 lbs without the rear wheels and 17 lbs with them, so it is easy to lift into a car or carry up a step. Its 18" x 16" seat sits 18.5" from the floor and supports up to 250 lb, giving a defined seating area and a clear weight limit for the user.

Attendant brakes come standard, and the fixed desk-length arms with molded pads give the person pushing a firm grip. The 13" spoke wheels with treaded flat-free tires and 6" casters roll over everyday surfaces, while quick-release rear axles, a fold-down backrest and a folded width of 10.8" make storage compact. Removable padded seat and back overlays, seat-integrated carry handles and European-style swing-away footrests with ergonomic release levers round out the setup.

Materials & care

The frame is made of magnesium alloy. The seat and back padded overlay cushions are removable for cleaning. Wipe the frame, wheels and casters with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly.

How to use

Engage the standard attendant brakes before a user sits down or stands up. The fixed desk-length arms and molded armrest pads give the attendant a steady grip while pushing, and the seat-integrated carry handles help lift the folded chair. Quick-release rear axles let the rear wheels be removed for transport or storage, and the backrest folds down to reduce height.
