The Dolphin Fluid Immersion Simulation (FIS) AutoVector® Control Unit is the processing and power component of the Dolphin FIS system. It automatically manages pressure redistribution by continuously adjusting the connected therapy surface in response to patient weight, body shape, and movement.
The control unit operates without manual programming. Once connected to a compatible Dolphin FIS mattress or pad, the system continuously monitors and adjusts the surface to maintain consistent pressure redistribution, helping reduce pressure concentration and soft tissue strain.
Automated Pressure Management
The AutoVector® Control Unit uses Fluid Immersion Simulation technology to regulate the therapy surface in real time. As the patient moves or repositions, the control unit automatically recalculates support requirements and adjusts the surface accordingly, without caregiver intervention.
This automated operation ensures consistent therapy delivery across a range of care environments, including bed, stretcher, and transport applications when paired with the appropriate Dolphin FIS surface.
